10- MOISES CAICEDO TO BRIGHTON
Caicedo is an Ecuadorian midfielder aged 19. Caicedo is a more of an attacking minded midfielder with an eye for goal. Last season, he scored 8 goals and assisted 1 in 42 games (11 of them as a substitute). Brighton really needed a young attacking minded midfielder. In 2/3 years, everyone will say he was a great bargain.
9- ZIRKZEE TO PARMA
Parma is building a young strong squad and Zirkzee couldn't be a better signing. At Bayern, he was only a backup for Lewandowski who would rarely miss any games. At Parma,he is guaranteed game time under an attacking team. Zirkzee was signed to improve the attack and solve the goal drought of the team and get them out of the relegation zone. Bayern also wins with this deal, as he can secure the development of a great young striker.
8- MINAMINO TO SOUTHAMPTON
Minamino never really succeed at Liverpool, so Klopp contacted fellow club Southampton and assegured a loan deal for him. He liked to cut inside and create, what doesn't fit in the winger profile of Liverpool. At Southampton, he can do that well. This deal is good for everyone except Liverpool who lose another player that could be used to cover the attack when Salah and Mane are tired.
7- BEN DAVIES TO LIVERPOOL
We all knew Liverpool needed a CB but no one expected that the less known Ben Davies would come. He wasn't getting a lot of numbers in terms of interceptions and tackles (outside top 50 on both) but he never put a foot wrong and his positioning is class and his playmaking abilities are one of the best in the Championship. Good signing as there weren't much available
6- PAULINHO TO SPORTING
Many of you won't know this transfer happened or why it's so high, so I will explain why. Paulinho is a Portuguese striker who was doing wonders for Braga in a system similar to Sporting's. The main problem of Sporting is not having a quality striker (TT is for the future and Sporar is not Sporting quality). This will push even higher the chances of Sporting winning the title as they are still unbeaten, are 4 points ahead of 2nd placed Porto and 9 points ahead 3rd and 4th placed Braga and Benfica after beting the Lisbon club 1-0 yesterday.
5- JOE WILLOCK TO NEWCASTLE
Newcastle have a huge flawn on their squad: lack of creativity. They are the 17th team with most xA with 13.1 xA so Willock comes to add creativity to the midfield and after Newcastle sigining a new assistant manager especialized on the attack (already made impact on Everton win) Newcastle could turn things around in the second half of the season.
4- MUSTAFI TO SCHALKE
Mustafi is now at Schalke and I think it's very good for Schalke. The German team got a good CB for their level and adding a bit of leadership on the defense. Schalke had a good transfer window getting Kolasinac and giving Hoppe a pro contract.
3- MAITLAND-NILES TO WEST BROM
West Brom have a lot of flaws but they needed a versatile player that could play in every system the team have played before. Maitland-Niles was the answer. He can play as a RB, a DM and a RM if needed. Also, AMN secures game time as Arteta would favor Bellerin and Cedric ahead of him and West Brom adds a young player to the ageing defense. He also adds creativity, very much needed.
2- JOSHUA KING TO EVERTON
King is that type of player you never really understood why he was at Bournemouth. Now, he got a move to Everton which is great. He will be a backup and competitor for DCL at the ST position. His aerial presence, finishing and physicality is great for a team like Everton who wants to get the ball to the box.
1- KABAK TO LIVERPOOL
This deadline day wasn't the most heated or the most interesting, but here it is. The best deal of this deadline day is in my opinion is Kabak to LFC. His playmaking abilities are great and he could actually be a very good short term replacement for Virgil.
Here it is! This is my Top 10 Best Transfers on the Deadline Day! Comment your thoughts.
Fully agree with Joao here and maybe Diallo deserves to be in if he plays good but maybe that’s just bias
Idrissi on loan to Ajax deserves a shout ngl
Kabak <3
Mustafi is now Schalke's last hope in surviving the drop
